Polar Express

MoMo, Nolan and I went on the Polar Express from the Lisle Metra Station to Union Station downtown. It was a blast!
Nolan loves playing train conductor and couldn't wait to get his ticket punched.

Scrooge made an appearance.

We saw a snow princess.
There were cute elves on each car.
There were Christmas clowns.

He made Nolan a reindeer.
One of Nolan's favorite parts...getting his ticket punched!

The conductor was so nice!

There was a candy cane elf.
We sang Christmas carols.
And then...
Santa arrived!

Nolan gave him a big hug!
Nolan was in awe of everything!

The elves gave each child a bell with a note from Santa...it was so sweet!
Nolan wanted to put his bell in his pocket.

We went back to Pops and MoMo's after our train adventure, and Nolan immediately began playing train conductor and Polar Express. He has a real Metra conductor hat from one of MoMo's conductors. He LOVES it so much and wears it everyday.

He played grocery store, too.
Nolan drove the "pony express" with the horse at Pops and MoMo's house.

We had such a fun, special day! The Polar Express experience was great!
We went to Breakfast with Santa at St. Catherine's this morning, and I did not get any pictures...Nolan clung to my leg and would not go near Santa. I am glad he liked him on the train!
