Happy Memorial Day!

We went swimming in Pops and MoMo's pool for the first time yesterday. Nolan liked the addition of the new stairs and had lots of fun scooping and pouring...

He enjoyed a delicious lunch outside.

Then, we went to Uncle Tim and Aunt Jean's house for a family party. Nolan had lots of fun with his cousins!

Uncle Tim and baby Dave sported patriotic clothes.

Nolan rode the tricycle around all night long!

Pops was honored at St. Rita High School today as they celebrated 100 years of baseball.

Great job, Pops! We are so proud of you and your many accomplishments! You're the best!

Happy Hour

My college roommate Katy and her husband Andre stopped by for a happy hour visit yesterday on their way downtown. They were visiting from Virginia. Nolan sported his Butler shirt and had lots of fun playing tow truck...

We enjoyed our visit and hope to see the terWeele family again soon!

Cabana Boy

Nolan tried on his new Hawaiian shirt and green shorts to be sure they fit...

P.S. I know these clothes do not match...they are separate items that just needed to be tried on. Nolan is very fashionable and will never wear this shirt and these shorts together!

MRI Day

Nolan had his routine, follow-up MRI today to check the cyst on his brain. He had the MRI this morning and was recovered by the time we got home around lunchtime. We took it easy and relaxed for awhile, and Nolan watched a few shows.
Nolan's neurologist, Dr. Hahn, called to let us know that the cyst is the same size or just a bit smaller than the last scan which is great news. So, he will have to have another follow-up MRI and neurologist appointment next May. I am thrilled with the good news and am so proud of Nolan for being such a trooper!

Brookfield Zoo

We went to Brookfield Zoo today with Pops and MoMo.

Nolan had lots of fun on the carousel.

Teddy had fun, too (see right side of picture)!

Nolan thoroughly enjoyed (and wore) his first push-up!

He had lots of fun in the petting zoo.

It was a great day to walk around in the hot weather.

Nolan read the map and was a great helper.

He loved the giraffes.

Nolan loved getting sprayed by the elephant fountain.

He was so exhausted and fell fast asleep on the ride home and slept for 4 1/2 hours!
