New Year's Eve

We went to the "Happy Zoo Year" party at Brookfield Zoo tonight that was part of the winter Holiday Magic festival. Nolan had a lot of fun riding on the dolphin on the carousel.

He rode on a Santa Express train.
We saw a show with the Little People.
We spent a lot of time in the family play zoo. Nolan cleaned some cages.
He checked out some guinea pigs and bunnies.
He sprayed lots of plants in the greenhouse.

Dr. Nolan helped lots of sick animals in the vet clinic.

He pretended to be the Zoo Director.

We went back to the vet clinic...playing doctor was Nolan's favorite part!
We marched in a parade and had fun with the countdown!

We went on the carousel one more time...the dolphin again of course!
Nolan was waving to everyone!
I asked a nice woman to take a picture of us, and Nolan said he was too shy.
Happy New Year!
Nolan crashed as soon as we started moving.
I took our outside decorations down this morning. It is unseasonably warm here in Chicago, and it was the most beautiful night to be walking around at the zoo. It rained all day but not during our time at the zoo which was perfect! We had a great time together at Holiday Magic!

Playing...

We woke up the morning after Christmas and started playing! Nolan loves his new playdoh ice cream shop!

He used his ice cream trucks to deliver treats!

We had a birthday party for Dolphin who is his Nolan's new favorite guy. We play dolphin show everyday!
There were lots of emergencies...

We made more sundaes.
We played grocery store, and Nolan had to call his manager.

He played doctor and helped his poor dog, Patrick, who is very sick.
Nolan wanted to tape the star back massager to his jammies to pretend to be "Officer Nash."
Nolan plays "Officer Nash" (aka Uncle Pat) everyday. He was so excited to have a badge just like the real Officer Nash!
He was also the "mounted poplice" while riding his horse!
We are having so much fun playing, exploring, creating and just being together! Nolan is such a blessing and so much fun to be around!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

We went to the O'Shea party on Christmas Eve night.
Nolan played train conductor.

He had fun with Dave's new truck.

We walked there and back in our wagon, and it was a beautiful snowy night!
Nolan sprinkled the reindeer food outside when we got home.

We saw lots of reindeer tracks in the snow, and Nolan was so sweet and cute with the food. It was so magical watching him!
We left some treats and a note for Santa...

Santa came to our house!

Delivery Truck Guy was in the Christmas tree!
Nolan was sleepy but really excited!
He loves his new "car cart!"

He put Dolphin in and went shopping!
His real drum was a huge hit, too!

The fireman raincoat was put on immediately!
Nolan had to get his fire hat, too!
He opened a train puzzle and then became a conductor!
We went to Uncle Mart, Aunt Judy and Amy's house for a family celebration after church.
Nolan played train conductor with everyone there!

There were four dogs; Nolan was initially unsure of how he felt about them. He adjusted well and guided Ginger around with Aunt Judy's help.

Nolan brought his car cart and shopped at the party.
He had fun with his new Red Rover game.
Aunt Maura pretended to be a train conductor.
Aunt Mar helped Nolan with his jammies.

Nolan was exhausted and slept all the way home.
Merry Merry Christmas to all!
